Last week, I made a promise to have at least one entry a week. I was supposed to blog about a butterfly-effect-sort-of-thing that happened to us almost a week ago but it seem that my internet connection wasn't that good at that time. Maybe it was because of the weather. It was raining really hard that time. And it was because of the rain that we changed (again) our plan. We were supposed to relocate to Bohol, but then because of the heavy rain with strong winds that brought a-dipper-full of water into our unit that we realized we couldn't leave our first home, our investment. The plan of relocating which took us several months to finalize was easily abandoned due to a minor, even somewhat unrelated event. This made me realize that no matter how well one plan something, there are instances that one either completely abandon one's plan or make modifications of it. It is very important then that one must be quick to adjust and always to seek God's guidance.
Once it was decided that we remain in our humble home, we've kept both hands very busy with the chores and the re-arranging (again) of the furniture etc. In the 1.5 years that we've lived in this unit, I've changed the arrangement more or less 7 times already. We're changing it again to make room for a new television. We haven't purchased it yet (hubby said we'll buy it a few days from now) but I'm so excited that I wanted to allocate a space ASAP.
Gotta sleep now 'coz I have to be up early tomorrow to continue the tasks I signed up myself for.

boo boos
while watching 'burn after reading', i can't help but get distracted by the burning of my hands. i've got these boo boos courtesy of hand washing my laundry. i'm not so sure whether it was because of the not-so-mild detergent or simply because of the three-weeks-worth-laundry-of-two-people-and-a-couple-of-guests which by the way included towels. dirty laundry can really hurt. it'll hurt my pocket if i send them to the laundromat (it's not much to save, not that i really intend to save it). but it sure hurts like hell when i did it myself (i have the time anyway, so might as well make the most of it doing something worthwhile instead of just stalking friends in facebook). except for the boo boos, i'd say it was an enjoyable chore.
but this burning sensation from the cuts made me realize something. these cuts will soon heal and i probably won't remember what it felt like. i wouldn't even see a reminder that there used to be cuts in my hands. this goes to show that not all boo boos, cuts, wounds leave scars. but still there are those who'll leave us scars and will be constant reminders of the pain. we may not remember how it felt like, but we'll be reminded that we once were hurt. so let's all be careful before doing something. if we know that doing this something will hurt us one way or another, then let's think twice, better thrice, best if we ponder on it a zillion times. doing this something may be the outright solution of our predicament, but still proper timing is imperative. we can't allow the selfish-mean-brat inside of us to do the bulk of the decision making 'coz we sure know that that-selfish-mean-brat's only concern is what will make him/her happy NOW. there's always the right time for everything.
so glad we were able to figure out something that will work. we can do it. i know we can. it'll just take a few sacrifices but i know it'll be worth it. let's take things one at a time. as it is often said: slowly but surely!

dirty laundry
i was feeling a bit depressed, so I did my laundry. now, apart from being depressed, my entire body is screaming bloody hell. do i regret doing my laundry? well, no. though it wasn't the usual way of cheering oneself, i've got to admit that it was pretty effective (except for the aching muscles). for a while there, it distracted me from thinking of the reason why i got a bit depressed (i was just PMSing. it was just PMS but f--k PMS, we'd have to wait another 2 months before we can try again). dirty laundry saved my day. coz now i don't feel down anymore.
i realized we all have dirty laundry. we can't just throw them away. we can send them to the laundromats and they'll do the cleaning for us. or we can do it ourselves. either way, we are bound to make sacrifices.
dirty laundry can be someone we love who'd wronged us. we can't just walk away from them. we can't throw them out of our lives that easily. we have to come clean. clear the air. talk it out. a little punching and slapping wouldn't hurt. we can ask other people to mediate or we can settle the issue ourselves.
dirty laundry can be something we did that's wrong. we'll always feel guilty. we'll feel bad about ourselves. if we've done something bad, it doesn't mean we'll have to let go of our good side. just like the dirty laundry, all we have to do is come clean. repent. and vow never to make the same mistake.
so there, i'll always remember to do my dirty laundry.
