J wanted a facial but is not willing to spend a fortune. We used to have our facial done by Ate Luz every time we're in Bohol for a vacation. Since our trip to Bohol won't be sooner, J asked me to do a facial ala Luz. I did some modifications since I used what's readily available .
You'll need:
small basin with hot water
wash cloth
facial wash
loop / spoon extractor (don't forget to disinfect)
facial mask
ice cubes
moisturizer / HHN sunflower beauty oil
Pre-wash face with facial wash. Rinse thoroughly.
Put wash cloth in hot water, wring then gently massage onto face. The warm wash cloth will help open up your pores for easy extraction of black / white heads. To remove blackheads, gently press the extractor directly over blackhead. The head should come through the hole. Repeat this until blackheads are gone. Apply facial mask. Leave on for 15 minutes or more. Peel off mask. To close pores, roll over ice cubes to your face. Moisturize. In J's facial treat I used Human Heart Nature's Sunflower Beauty Oil (if you want to buy this, click this).

momma update
I've lost interest (again!) in blogging for the past couple of months. It isn't an unusual scenario though as I am always prone to disinterest especially when it isn't my forte. But anyway I'm back (hahaha, can't even remember how many times I've said this in my past posts).
Here's a rundown of what went on my life as a momma for the last couple of months (will be posting more about each when I get the chance and when I'm in a mood.hehehe):
* cloth diapering momma - Von M is on exclusive CDing for 4.5 months now with 50+ CDs.
* happy momma - J is back. for good. He just resigned from his work abroad to be with me and Von M.

sorta butterfly effect
Last week, I made a promise to have at least one entry a week. I was supposed to blog about a butterfly-effect-sort-of-thing that happened to us almost a week ago but it seem that my internet connection wasn't that good at that time. Maybe it was because of the weather. It was raining really hard that time. And it was because of the rain that we changed (again) our plan. We were supposed to relocate to Bohol, but then because of the heavy rain with strong winds that brought a-dipper-full of water into our unit that we realized we couldn't leave our first home, our investment. The plan of relocating which took us several months to finalize was easily abandoned due to a minor, even somewhat unrelated event. This made me realize that no matter how well one plan something, there are instances that one either completely abandon one's plan or make modifications of it. It is very important then that one must be quick to adjust and always to seek God's guidance.
Once it was decided that we remain in our humble home, we've kept both hands very busy with the chores and the re-arranging (again) of the furniture etc. In the 1.5 years that we've lived in this unit, I've changed the arrangement more or less 7 times already. We're changing it again to make room for a new television. We haven't purchased it yet (hubby said we'll buy it a few days from now) but I'm so excited that I wanted to allocate a space ASAP.
Gotta sleep now 'coz I have to be up early tomorrow to continue the tasks I signed up myself for.

hello again
It's been ages since I last visited and posted something here. My last entry was more than a year ago. It was a tribute to all the suppliers and people who in one way or another made our wedding a success. That was only part A of the tribute. As for the second installment of the tribute, I don't know when I'll have the time or rather when I'll have the will to blog about it. I'm always the ningas kugon. It's one of the I-want-to-get-rid-but-so-hard-to-rid-of trait that I'm hoping to do away this time for good. To start, I intend to at least have one entry a week.
Today is our 17th wedding monthsary. Since we are on a tight budget right now, we opted to stay at home and spend it the way we spend our regular days. A we've-got-nothing-important-to-do-but-lie-around-and-cuddle-while-reading-or-surfing is an almost accurate description of our typical regular day. Of course with minor deviations. For instance, today I cooked lunch and did the preps for my lechon kawali while he did the laundry. After a few chores, then we'll be left with nothing else to do. Oh, maybe he'll be watching videos while I'm reading a book. Or perhaps I'm the one in front of the laptop playing Treasure Isle while he's the one reading a book. Maybe we'll be both watching videos or each have a book to read. Pretty same-same. But we're not complaining. We are very thankful to the Almighty for giving us the luxury to enjoy these idle moments.
P.S.
*bCee bee's REVAMP Sale started a few hours ago. We wanted to clear out the items to make way for a new bCee bee (bCee bee though would just be one of the lines of our would-be new baby).
* Perhaps the reason why I'm renewing my ties to blogging is the desire to develop my writing skills. After all, I'm an INFJ (though I think I'm bordering to being an ISTJ) and INFJs, they say, are good writers. I wouldn't want to be an exception.

you made my day
just like God who on the 7th day rested, i, too, had spent the 7th day resting / relaxing (i didn't create though; i spent the week doing the laundry and cleaning the entire 40sqm. unit until it was squeaky clean.
so here's how i spent my rest day:
watched lady gaga's bad romance for the nth time
so here's how i spent my rest day:
read a good book
read Narinig ko sa UP (Overheard at UP) and had a laugh trip on almost all of the knock, knock jokes
played rise of atlantis
played solitaire
watched lady gaga's bad romance for the nth time
and once again had my 'usual' dance exercise (the last time i did this was a week before i got married)
but what really made my day were a few calls from my husband. we also exchanged a few emails and several text messages. i miss my janssen so much.

may God be watching over you. good night my love. we may be oceans apart but our distance is just a physical thing, so why don't you meet me at the garden where no one else knows.

kept busy by expenses
it’s been four months since i got married. a lot of people had asked me what i’ve been doing for the past few months. i’d say to them, ‘nothing much’ ‘coz i didn’t want to go to a detail account of what i had been doing for the past few months. it’s not that i’m being a snob; i just dread the part when they’d ask me where i work, and i’d tell them that i’m not working and they’d say ,’why the hell not?’. few have said something like ‘you’re wasting your talent’ or ‘you shouldn’t have gone to college if you didn’t want to practice what you studied’ or ‘you’re a UP graduate; why didn’t somebody hire you?’. i think i just grew tired of explaining to these people why i’m not working. So when someone asks me that question, i always have the “my-husband-won’t-let-me-work-‘coz-he-wants-to-be-with-me-24-hrs-when-he’s-on-vacation” excuse. but there’s really more to it. that’s only the tip of the iceberg. we have our reasons, but i won’t go into detail today, maybe some other time.
so what kept me busy?
i spent a lot of time surfing the internet doing research, communicating with my Janssen, reading articles and blogs, stalking friends and interesting people in facebook, watching videos, downloading stuff etc.
i’m always busy with chores. i never ran out of chores.
i sometimes go out with friends.
i do most of the shopping (mostly groceries).
i’ve done a lot of reading. i’ve had a variety of reading materials which included celebrity gossip and fashion (courtesy of the buzz, ok and yes magazines), homes and gardens, fiction and more serious stuff like books on business (which somehow managed to talk me into evaluating my expenses and debts as either bad or good).
and i've been busy evaluating every expenditure as either bad or good.
